Més Que

In our continuous search for places to get good whisky in Buffalo, we recently stumbled across Més Que, a unique little place on Hertel Ave. Més Que is a European style soccer bar. One of the only, if not the only dedicated soccer bar in Buffalo. Més Que was designed from its inception to be a place where locals can go to enjoy sports other than just football, baseball and basketball.

Més Que’s bar has a mostly craft European tap list that includes a few local favorites, like Flying Bison and Community Beer Works. In addition, they offer over 40 bottles of US craft beer. They have a modest, but very good wine selection and their bartenders specialize in original recipe cocktails. There is also a nice, inexpensive food menu that includes things like a seared duck and bacon panini, to a charcuterie and gourmet cheese plate.

Finally, we come to the whiskey. Més Que has an beautiful whiskey selection. From industry staples, to good high-end bourbons, to several older single malts – their bar menu has something for everyone. They offer several different affordable whiskey flight options that range in price from $10 to $30.

Something fun is always going on at Més Que, from wine tastings, to beer tastings, to whiskey specials, to soccer parties and to massive gatherings of fans watching the US hockey team on their quest for the gold medal. To stay updated on all of Més Que’s goings on, like them on Facebook and follow them on Twitter. BWG will be going back to Més Que to enjoy a flight of whiskey, try some food and to take in the European sports-style atmosphere. We’ll be posting an update of our experience soon…
